ATSI's leadership team possesses a wealth of experience in tactical aviation in the world's best known fighter aircraft.
Everett Keech is Chairman of the Executive Committee of ATSI’s Board of Directors and is ATSI’s senior executive. He is a former Assistant Secretary of the Air Force and former Acting Under Secretary of the Air Force. Mr. Keech has been a partner in several private equity firms and has been an executive and a director of more than 20 public and private companies. He also was Vice Dean of the Wharton School and director of its MBA program. Mr. Keech served as a naval aviator, flying attack and fighter aircraft, including the A-4 and F-8. In the Navy, he logged 2,300 flight hours and 580 carrier landings. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot Rating, has 3,300 total flight hours and has flown 30 types of aircraft.
Capt. Jon A. McBride, USN/NASA (Ret) is a Director of ATSI and is Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors. He was a co-founder of ATSI and previously served as President and CEO. Currently, he is an executive and Astronaut-in-Residence in the Visitor Center at the Kennedy Space Center. Capt. McBride was a Vietnam combat fighter pilot and a NASA astronaut who served as a pilot on Shuttle Mission STS 41-G and as CAPCOM for STS-5, STS-6 and STS-7. He is also the former NASA Assistant Administrator for Congressional Relations. He is a graduate of the USAF Test Pilot School, holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering, and is a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots. Capt. McBride has logged nearly 9,000 flight hours and 197 hours in space. He flew 86 combat missions in Vietnam and logged 550 carrier landings.
Charles P. Stanford, Jr. is ATSI’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for day-to-day operations and contracting / business activities of the Company. He joined ATSI in 2003, bringing more than 20 years experience in operations and finance with public and private companies in several industries. Mr. Stanford also serves as ATSI’s Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. He holds MBA and Accounting degrees, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Lt Col Philip A. “O.P.” Oppenheimer, USAF (Ret) is ATSI’s Chief Pilot and Director of Flight Operations. He is an ATP-rated pilot with over 8,200 hours of flight time. Phil served a 20-year career in the United States Air Force flying as pilot, instructor pilot and flight examiner in the A-10, A/OA-37, and the F-16. He also served as joint staff current air operations officer, flight commander, squadron operations officer, and F-16 squadron commander. He flew over 130 combat hours in the F-16 during Operation Desert Storm as a Large Force Mission Commander. Lt Col Oppenheimer is a distinguished graduate of the USAF Air Command and Staff College and F-16 training. He holds a Bachelors degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction and a Masters degree in Military Studies, Air Warfare.
AVCM (AW) Renee Joffrion, USN (Ret) is ATSI’s Director of Maintenance. Renee has more than 45 years of aircraft maintenance and production control management and planning experience. His 30-year career with the US Navy included two tours as Air Wing Maintenance Master Chief. Renee leads a team of highly capable A&P aviation technicians in maintaining ATSI’s A-4 fleet.
Mitchell D. Moore is ATSI’s Director of Accounting Operations. He joined ATSI in 2006 bringing more than 15 years of finance and administration experience in the transportation industry including international manufacturing, finance, fleet maintenance and operations. Mitchell’s experience also includes business development and marketing for high growth small businesses.
Betty Nay is ATSI’s Human Resources Manager. She has been with ATSI since 2005 and has more than 25 years of specialized and generalist human resources experience, working in the California wine industry and telecommunications. In addition, Betty provided international human resources development and support to client companies for major consulting firms.
