The Leadership Team
 

ATSI's leadership team possesses a wealth of experience in tactical aviation in the world's best known fighter aircraft.

Capt. Jon A. McBride, USN/NASA (Ret.) was ATSI's co-founder and continues to serve on our Board of Directors.  He was a Vietnam combat fighter pilot and a NASA astronaut who served as a pilot on Shuttle Mission STS 41-G and as CAPCOM for STS-5, STS-6 and STS-7.  Capt. McBride is also the former NASA Assistant Administrator for Congressional Relations. He is a graduate of the USAF Test Pilot School, holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering and is a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots. He has logged nearly 9,000 flight hours and 197 hours in space. He also flew 86 combat missions in Vietnam and logged 550 carrier landings.

Charles P. Stanford, Jr. is ATSI's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all operations and contracting / business activities of the Company.  He joined ATSI in 2003, bringing more than 20 years experience in operations and finance with public and private companies in several industries. Chuck also serves as ATSI's Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. He holds MBA and Accounting degrees, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

LCDR Eric "Vinny" Newstrom, USN (Ret.) is ATSI's Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot.  He has over 20 years and 5,200 hours of military aviation experience including 3,800 hours of Tactical Instructor time in the US Navy, flying the A-6E, T-45A/C and the A-4 Skyhawk.  "Vinny" is also a highly qualified international flight instructor pilot, having taught students from Brazil, UAE, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

Colin Keefe is ATSI's Acting Director of Maintenance.  Colin brings more than 25 years of military and civilian aircraft maintenance and quality assurance experience to ATSI, including the USMC, Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Raytheon. Colin leads a team of highly capable and fully A&P-licensed aviation technicians in maintaining our A-4 fleet.

Betty Nay is ATSI's Human Resources Manager. She has more than 25 years of specialized and generalist human resources experience, working in the California wine industry and telecommunications. In addition, she worked for two of the "Big Five" accounting firms, providing international human resources consulting to client companies. Betty is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
